With decades of education and experience, our leadership team includes previous board members, association members, and award winners within the healthcare field all with one common goal in mind: serving others, especially older adults.
Heather Dorries began her career with Lutheran Homes of South Carolina in 2000 as Director of Life Enrichment for Trinity on Laurens. After much hard work, she assumed the role of Director of Community Outreach and obtained her South Carolina Long-Term Care administrators license. In 2021, Heather was promoted to Executive Director of BeWell Home Services and Trinity on Laurens.
Heather earned a degree in Sociology from USC Aiken and enjoys serving on various committees and educational bodies pertinent to the well-being and care of older adults. She is actively involved with BNI AikeNet Works. She is married and has four boys. When she can find some free time, Heather enjoys traveling, family, and volunteer work.
Twenty years ago, our Director of Environmental Services, Tommy Cheatham, came full circle to work at the same place where he attended junior high at the old Aiken Junior High. Prior to joining the Trinity team on the old school grounds, Tommy spent a decade working his way up and learning the environmental services ropes at the Aiken Regional Medical Center. Tommy enjoys working with our residents and states, “they are like family,” and they make him look forward to coming to work each and every day.
Tommy has been married to his wife, Ruby, for what he calls, “31 beautiful years,” and the couple has three sons and eight wonderful grandchildren. In his spare time, Tommy enjoys a good movie or playing tourist around the palmetto state!
South Carolina native, Robert Sessions, has come full circle and has made Aiken and Trinity his home for well over the last decade. Prior to coming to Trinity, Robert served as an Area Manager and Director of Security for a Fortune 500 security services corporation at a prestigious gated community on the Isle of Palms for a decade. Wanting to change career paths and to fulfill a dream of making a difference in people’s lives, Robert came aboard as Director of Life Enrichment and has never looked back. Robert loves working with older adults and is in awe of the many “walking encyclopedias” he interacts with on a daily basis. Serving our residents by just doing those little things puts a smile on his face and makes his day.
Robert is married and has a teenage daughter and a beautiful baby boy!
